7-point Lighting Exercise

You will need your SD card and will be using the studio in class for this exercise.

Assignments

Using the school studio and Nikon D610 and 70-300mm lens or the D3200 and 50-200mm lens, shoot one object of your choice on a plain background with one light in seven points around the subject:

• High Center
• 1/4 High Right (45°)
• 1/2 High Right (90°)
• 3/4 High Right (135°)
• 1/4 Low Left (45°)
• 1/2 Low Left (90°)
• 3/4 Low Left (135°)

Be sure to keep your frame simple, clean and well centered. Save your photos on your SD card for an Adobe Lightroom exercise during Friday’s class.
